USF ME-MSN Summer 2020

Published

Didn’t see a post about the USF ME-MSN program for Summer 2020 and thought I’d start one! Feel free to reply about your thoughts, updates on the application/decisions, etc!!

I emailed them last week and they said there is no schedule change on the decision letters so before or on week 10 (which is this week) so we’ll just have to see. Is this your first time applying?

Also, I thought they don’t do interviews for this program?

They only conduct interviews for those who are fluent in additional languages for the primary care focus, especially if some clinics require you to be bilingual. If you remember on the application process there’s a space where you can add any language in which you are fluent and it also stated that you may be contacted for an interview in that language (e.g. in Spanish). I guess they do that to see if you speak that language well enough to be placed in a bilingual clinic, but I am not sure if it means you are accepted to the program...

I'm getting nervous! This is my second time applying for the program. The first time I applied for the BSN program. I wanted to apply to ME-MSN because I know that they look more at your overall experience rather than focusing primarily on grades.

Any news yet?

Still nothing..

Hi, no, I have not heard anything yet either

nope, haven’t heard/gotten anything yet ?

I am personally thinking we might hear later this week. But even still. The next question is when will they start the program. Seems completely unrealistic to think USF campus will be open mid May. I hope that they are making plans early enough for everyone to adjust vs waiting until the last minute, collecting all our money, and then canceling Summer sessions. UGH!

Does anyone know when this cohort was supposed to start?

I looked on their academic calendar and it says 5/18 is the first day of Summer instruction

ahhh I'm so nervous! I emailed them a few days ago asking if COVID 19 will affect anything and some other questions about pre-reqs and they said they would get back to me. I just heard I was waitlisted at UIC, so hoping we hear back relatively soon!
