I've been looking around for a thread for University of South Florida's nursing program for this upcoming fall and haven't found one, so here's this. :) Has anyone already submitted their application like me? And like other threads, I'm curious about other applicants' GPA's, so if we don't mind sharing them, that would be helpful! My pre-req GPA is currently a 4.0, and whole GPA is a 3.9.
Also, is it true that the nursing program has a "requirement" of how many of each ethnicity they need to accept? I was informed by a student that if you're non-white, you have a better chance of getting in because they need to have diversity...
I rocked my upper division sequence interview with a pre req GPA of 3.79 and overall 3.88, but today I was notified that I was put on the alternate list. Odd because I did SO well when answering those interview questions. I guess there is still some hope.
Does USF still offer summer admissions to the program?

No, unfortunately USF only does Fall. There's still a chance with the alternate list!! Don't lose hope! People might drop out as they get accepted to other schools! I'm praying you'll get in!
Late comment but I was waitlisted which was a suprise since I also thought I did good during the interview and my overall GPA is 3.87 and pre-req is a 4.00, holding on to some hope that there will be an available spot though!
For those who were wait-listed, please don't give up hope! I was also wait-listed my first time applying but persevered and tried again. Know that YOU ARE qualified and YOU ARE good enough. There are simply just not enough seats for all of us. Keep faith and trust that God's way and timing is perfect. YOU WILL be nurses and will attend USF's nursing program if you truly believe it. Take care, I pray a spot opens for you!
