Hi, guys!
I've been looking around for a thread for University of South Florida's nursing program for this upcoming fall and haven't found one, so here's this. :) Has anyone already submitted their application like me? And like other threads, I'm curious about other applicants' GPA's, so if we don't mind sharing them, that would be helpful! My pre-req GPA is currently a 4.0, and whole GPA is a 3.9.
Also, is it true that the nursing program has a "requirement" of how many of each ethnicity they need to accept? I was informed by a student that if you're non-white, you have a better chance of getting in because they need to have diversity...
@Akya_1998 I was also placed on the alternate list with a 4.0 overall, but I was accepted off the list on April 9! There's still time, I think there will be a shuffle of seats throughout the summer as students hear back from other programs and other factors. You have a great GPA, I really don't think you would be at the bottom of the pile. I completely understand how stressful being on the list is, and I sincerely hope you hear something soon! I also heard back through SOAR/email, and they only gave me about 2 days to confirm my spot, so check often (congrats @mmarissanicolee btw!!)
@kjjccx I hope that they do contact me soon because I decided that I am not going to continue at USF if they do not accept me. I feel that there is no point in me to change to a major I do not want and take classes that will not benefit me. So, I am going to go home in the fall, take the TEAS this summer, and apply to colleges for hopefully a spring semester. But, I hope I do not have to do all this. I am going to wait until around June 15 to start working on this plan. But congrats on your pull from the waiting list. I hope to have your luck soon because I really do not want to leave.
