USF CA MSN-CNL Non-nurse Summer 2011

Hi There,

I've been searching around and I haven't seen a thread yet for USF's CNL program for non-nurse Summer 2011, so I thought I'd start one.

Anyone out there applied yet or still applying? I just submitted my online application last night and am preparing the supplemental packet to send out tomorrow.

Anything you'd like to share, by all means, please do!

I received a call yesterday around 3 pm letting me know I was accepted into the program! Has anyone else been notified?

I just got a call about 30 minutes ago that I'm in! I was so nervous, I could barely even talk to the woman who called! Good luck you guys, I hope to hear that we all get in!

I got the call yesterday as well, and I'm really looking forward to meeting you all!

A few question for my fellow Dons:

Anyone planning on working full time while in the program?

Are you planning on moving into SF or the surrounding areas?

Anyone going to the CNL conference this year? I cant make it because I'm getting married the same day of the conference! I was hoping I could touch bases with one of you and get the scoop if you're attending.

Congrats to all of you accepted and an encouraging hip bump to those who didnt this time around, don't worry you'll be celebrating soon! Just keep on keepin on!

Congratulations!

I am not planning on working at all during the program, I'm even quitting my part-time job.

I live in Walnut Creek right now and plan to stay here, although if it proves to be too far a commute (1 hour on BART/bus) I will move back to Oakland. SF is just so expensive!

I hadn't considered attending the CNL conference, but it's a great idea!

Where do you live? And you must have a pretty flexible job to continue working full-time during the program, what do you do?

OH I'm so excited to meet you girl!

Can you tell me what's driving your decision to quit work completely? The intensity of the program? I've done quite a bit of searching and havent really found a definitive answer as to how much time is in the classroom vs online ect. Can you tell me anything about that?

I'm planning on hopefully working part time which is why I was asking what others were doing.

My soon to be hubby is also attending USF as a undergrad so we are throwing caution to the wind and just moving somewhere around campus.

You should absolutely go to the conference - I love that USF is hosting it and it'll be a great intro to what we can expect professionally in a couple years. I wish I could go! The USF site has some videos posted from last years conference that I'm going to take a look at later on.
