USF CA MSN-CNL Non-nurse Summer 2011

Hi There,

I've been searching around and I haven't seen a thread yet for USF's CNL program for non-nurse Summer 2011, so I thought I'd start one.

Anyone out there applied yet or still applying? I just submitted my online application last night and am preparing the supplemental packet to send out tomorrow.

Anything you'd like to share, by all means, please do!

Ya, thank you Sam198, it feels like they took a dream away from me, even though I know that if I want to be a nurse, I will make it happen. I wish they looked into this stuff earlier, I mean they had the application for months and I specifically asked them about specialized degrees, it just seems very unprofessional to accept me and withdraw me. I will rise above it though and think of it as their loss:)

I, too, applied, although I do not know if I'll actually attend if I am accepted. I just don't know if the price is worth it. I already have some student loans from my undergrad, so I definitely have to consider how much more I am willing to take on. But perhaps something can pull through :) Nice to "meet" you all!

Thank you Sam 198 and fingerscrossed12, I am trying to move on. I know for sure that USF calls the accepted applicants, I think I read it somewhere on the website. And I know it is expensive but worth it, especially in my case that public schools didn't accept my 'highly specialized degree'. Let's all stay positive!

Sam 198, were you waitlisted at UCLA, what other schools have you applied to?

I was rejected at UCLA. I was offered a spot at CSULA. I havent heard from USF, SFSU, LB, CSUF

Stani, I am so sorry to hear about your ucla mishap I cannot even imagine what that would do to me. If you were accepted to ucla I am sure that you will be a very competitive applicant for USF... hopefully we will all get in! It would be great to meet all of you! Hopefully only one more week of waiting... fingers crossed.

Those who are waiting on SFSU, did you apply for the GMSN? I heard back for the BSN, but that's the only program I've heard from so far.
