USF BS-DNP Fall Program 2019

Published

Hello!

I just applied for the BS-DNP fall program. I'm currently in their BSN program and will complete my classes right before graduate school starts (if I'm accepted). I'm just wondering who else applied?

Also, for anyone who has been through the process at USF, do you have any tips for me as far as the interview goes? Thank you and best of luck to anyone applying!

Recommended for admission today!!!

I got mine today too!

Me too! Congrats everyone.

anyone know how often we have to go on campus for part time?

Do any of you guys live in Tampa or will be moving to the Tampa area for this program? I’ll be signing a lease soon but hoping I have some classmates who live nearby to do things together/be study buddies!

Hiii! I'm not sure how to work this site, but DM me on here ?

My husband graduates PA school in August, so we might end up moving to the Tampa area if he gets a job over there! If not I’ll be commuting from Orlando!

I applied for BSN-DNP in January, application was received Feb 1st and received an email March 4th that my application was under review and interviews were being held the week of March 11. It’s now 9 weeks later and I still have not been invited or denied an interview. I have reached out to Xavier Ramos, the recruiter advisor that sent the “under review” email and was told “it could take days to weeks” to be invited or denied and most recently told they were doing interviews in May. I check my email multiple times a day hoping to hear something. I have 5 years experience in a level 2 trauma ER, competitive gpa and volunteer/shadowing hours. Has anyone else run into this issue? It’s been stressing me out!

Hey everyone!

I'm looking at this program for next year.

Anyone know if they find your preceptors for you or if you have to find your own?

Thanks

They provide your preceptors within 2 hours of your location.

Hey everyone,

First of all, I’d like to offer everyone who got accepted a warm congratulations. You’re doing so awesome in the journey to advance your education.

As far as an update for me... I still have not heard anything. I’ve been in touch with admissions, but the last thing I heard (two weeks ago) was “your application is still under review and will be updated as soon as a decision is made.” Has anyone received a denial letter? I still want to keep my hopes up but I’m wondering if denials are automatically sent or if they get sent once everyone has received an acceptance letter. Feeling bummed :(

I reached out to one of the DNP advisors after not hearing anything for 10 weeks. He told me he would reach out to student affairs and have my file pulled. A few days later I got an email saying that admissions could not be offered nor could any feedback be offered. Hopefully you’ll hear back soon with good news!
