USF BS-DNP Fall Program 2019

Hello!

I just applied for the BS-DNP fall program. I'm currently in their BSN program and will complete my classes right before graduate school starts (if I'm accepted). I'm just wondering who else applied?

Also, for anyone who has been through the process at USF, do you have any tips for me as far as the interview goes? Thank you and best of luck to anyone applying!

Hello, I was in your situation not too long ago where I graduated with my BSN from USF and jumped right into the DNP. I am not aware how the interview process is now but when I did it, a panel consisting of a psychologist, the professor in charge of my chosen field and a random professor asked 3 questions. Take your time and think about the response and show confidence.

Hey! I’m applying as well. I applied to the full time FNP track. I submitted my app in December too. Just waiting to hear back for an interview hopefully!

Good luck! I'm still waiting to hear anything. My application still shows up as 'received'... Anxiously waiting! ?

Hey guys! I am graduating next semester from a smaller private school and would love to go to USF to continue graduate school for FNP. Is there any hope at all to get accepted right after graduation without RN experience and my gpa is only 3.2 or should I just find a different school? I have a friend who told me to apply as soon as application opens.

So...is this the University of Southern Florida or University of San Francisco? If its San Francisco, get your checkbook out..

I think it's worth a shot if you have the spare $100 for application fees and several hours to write a few essays. However, part of the application process asks for at least three references who have a degree equal to your desired degree or higher, that must be relevant to your chosen major. Whatever you choose I wish you the best of luck!!

Hey everyone! I am also applying to USF BS-DNP (peds), and if I get in will be relocating my family of 4 to Tampa from 3 states away! I made a trip down to attend the information session in October, and am very excited! Good luck to everyone! I’m looking forward to hearing about some of us getting interviews very soon!!!

I suspect the interview process varies from one candidate to another. In my case, I was interviewed in late-January. While the questions were related to nursing, the interview itself had a conversational flow to it.

A wee caveat to folks who post: I advise you not to speak about particular questions that you were asked.

With regard to time frames, both my interviewer and another staff member informed me that I'd receive a status update in about a month (or perhaps sooner).

Just stay calm and (humbly) confident in your particular qualifications as you interview.

I had my interview around the same time too. The staff was very welcoming and the interview had a very relaxed vibe to it!

Hi everyone!

Has anyone that applied to the MSN FNP heard back about interviews?
