Hi! I have yet to find any threads on the University of San Diego's MEPN '14 applicants. I submitted on the day of the deadline.... anyone else out there????
Yup! I live in California in the Bay Area. For preparation, I was going to look up common questions they might ask. I was also going to talk to some of my relatives who are nurses and learn more about the field. Maybe I'll also talk to some of the nurses at the hospital I volunteer at. Question: when you RSVP'd, they they respond saying they received it? Or would we wait until February to hear from them?
From what I thought was that they invited 100 people to interview and only 50 get accepted....Have you guys thought of possible questions that will be asked in the interviews? I have been practicing my answers lol. Previous posts do not have much information regarding the interviews but I am assuming they will ask questions like why we want to go into nursing to why we picked USD or what that program has to offer compared to others.... or something random like what was the last book you read...... Gosh I am going crazy just thinking about it.!!!
Hey everyone!! Just checked my application through the MySanDiego portal and it still says that mine is under review!! I submitted mine just before the deadline but I'm really hoping I hear some good news soon. UCLA & USD are my top two choices and this wait is just KILLING me!!!
Good luck to everyone and congrats to those who have already heard back!!
@morganw1 I also submitted my application on the day of the deadline but I just realized that MySanDiego's portal says that they received my application 11/5!! :wideyed: However, I for sure received an email from them on 11/1 saying it was submitted. I really hope this doesn't mean anything bad -- if I had known it would take a few days to process I wouldn't have spent those last few days perfecting my personal statement over and over again. Now I just feel dumb
On my MySanDiego, it says I have some application files that were received on 11/12, but I still got a letter asking me to interview postmarked 1/3. So I think you're fine in terms of submitting your application in on time.
My friend who got into the program last year told me that they interviewed about 110 people and accepted 50 in addition to some wait listed.
