I can't find a thread for next year's cohort. I applied second time this year. Last year I was wait listed and hopefully I'll have a better chance this year.

Specializes in Neuro/Trauma ICU.

I got off the waitlist this morning!

Congrats!

any more movement? I noticed my waitlist letter stated there is a proposed cut off date for alternates until March 30.... Unless there are alternates that have been picked right before the program start!

Hello!

Congratulations to those who got accepted/received an interview invite. It's a competitive process out there, so even getting waitlisted is a huge accomplishment! My plan is to apply this Fall and I was wondering those who got accepted, who did you ask for your LOR? I see one of the requirements is a nurse supervisor and NP/MD/CRNA. If any of you worked Night Shift, did you use a charge RN vs a nurse manager since management cannot really speak to your skills during Night Shift? In regards to the CRNA LOR, can it be the person you shadowed or do you have to work with them in your hospital? Thanks in advance and congratulations!

I did use a charge RN! I emailed them beforehand to confirm that it was okay.

Hello! I'm also night shift and I used one of our ICU Fellows (I'm at an academic institution), a charge nurse and then also my co-nurse manager. They mostly just want someone to be able to speak to who you are, strengths, personality, professionalism, etc. so whoever can do that the best-is best!

I also recommend attending an info session. Lots of great recommendations there too! Good luck!

Thank you both! And this letter is written out in an essay format by the recommenders, correct? If my recommenders ask me for the letterhead to type it into, do you know if the HR is the one to provide that? I've never used a letterhead so I'm curious as to how to obtain it!

Your managers should have access to it! I think HR can provide one too. As long as it's on the top of the page, it should be okay. I had to have one of my recommenders re-submit with the letterhead, so they definitely are strict about it. But yes, professional, essay format.

Thank you both for your help. I look forward to applying!

Hello everyone,

I'm applying to this program for 2024 admissions cycle. Could you provide with some insight on the interview style? Are the questions mostly clinical or personal or a mix of both? How can I better prepare for an interview?

thank you all in advance!

when did you guys start hearing back for interviews?

Do any previous applicants remember if the interview date was selected for you? Or did you have the opportunity to choose?
