I can't find a thread for next year's cohort. I applied second time this year. Last year I was wait listed and hopefully I'll have a better chance this year.

Hey guys! Just got my email to be an alternate! I wonder how many alternates they choose every year

Keep your head up! This is my third time applying, but my first interview and my first waitlist ever. So we’re all going through tough times!
just remember, becoming a CRNA is not a matter of IF, but When!

Totally agree, Malenurse. It’s rough out there! This was my first time applying to USC, and first interview also. I applied to two other CA schools this year and last year with flat out denials.
Keep on keeping on. We’ll get in just where we’re supposed to, when we’re supposed to! ❤️

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I forget at times I'm not the only one struggling. I hope to have an acceptance this coming year. Good luck to yall as well

I wonder if it’s the same as the wait list decision? Jan 6th?

I interviewed but still didn’t hear back. Is it pretty safe to assume that it’s rejection then? Since it seems like folks already got their acceptance and waitlist emails… ?

It seems like both acceptance/ waitlist offers came in waves last year! You never know
Those who were accepted have until Jan. 6 to commit (and pay their deposit). Maybe more alternates will be sent out after those initially accepted decide to decline? ?
The mistake I made last year was to hold out hope I would get off the waitlist and then I ended up missing deadlines for other programs. This year I'm not doing that anymore. Although USC is my first choice my ultimate goal is to be a CRNA even if it's through another program. If I were in your shoes I would assume the worse and make plans accordingly. They do offer to schedule meetings after March to discuss how to improve your application. I didn't know that until this year. I may take them on that offer after March if I'm not off the waitist.

Hi, I want to apply for UCS too. Anyone in the program can share how you like the program? Do you get good clinical experience? I appreciate it!
