i just left the nursing career fair at the convention center in los angeles and met with one of their nurse recruiters.
the next versant program begins october 2012.
applications will be accepted (june 1-14, 2012).
apply through the usc jobs website at www.usc.edu/jobs. look for "new graduate" in the job title.
fyi- the program requirements are:
eligible applicants must have less than one year of acute care hospital experience as a licensed rn. a bsn is strongly preferred. the program requires a 2 year commitment.
Yeah, mine still says "in progress". I think they leave it like that until they have chosen their final candidates and their background checks have all cleared. From what I've heard by others in the past it then it changes to "position filled" or "declined" depending. This way, if by some chance the people they interview are not good fits with the organization or if all of their background checks don't come back clean (which would never happen), then they could still technically interview one of us who got the email. It does say in the email that they would contact us if there were any other opportunities in the future.... like that would actually happen. Haha!
