Nurses can help the economy: BUY AMERICAN SCRUBS
I couldn't agree more that it's important to support American workers. Nurses could play a huge part in putting manufacturing back on the U.S. map. I have found two companies that make their scrubs in America. scrubs.com They sell multiple brands, but the "Green Scrubs" line is made in San Francisco. They incredibly affordable and comfortable. It's very nice to call a phone number and have someone you can understand is very helpful on the phone. I love their cargo pant. scrubmed.com They, too, sell multiple brands, but the "Scrub Med" line is made in Portland. I wear their flare leg drawstring cargo pant. What's great about them is that once you know your size, they can completely customize them for the perfect fit. Everything is on their website but I call their 800 number so I can talk to someone and they've always been incredibly nice. It makes me feel good to know that my purchase is going directly to an American worker just trying to their support their family as I am. On a side note, I also buy my shoes from Klogs.com. They're very similar to the more expensive, imported Dansko brand but are more affordable. Their polyurethane line is completely made in the USA. I personally like them because they're antimicrobial, non-marking, and I can easily wipe them off after my shift.

Thank you so much for the information and for starting this post. I, too, plan on applying. I graduate in August with my BSN so it'd work out perfectly. Fingers crossed!
