USC (Oct 2012) New Grad Program

does anyone plan on applying to the program?

in the original post on this i mentioned:

"hey guys,

i just left the nursing career fair at the convention center in los angeles and met with one of their nurse recruiters.

the next versant program begins october 2012.

applications will be accepted (june 1-14, 2012).

apply through the usc jobs website at www.usc.edu/jobs. look for "new graduate" in the job title.

fyi- the program requirements are:

eligible applicants must have less than one year of acute care hospital experience as a licensed rn. a bsn is strongly preferred. the program requires a 2 year commitment.

Is this anticipation nerve-wracking or is it just me? Haha.

YES! I keep thinking.. well if interviews start on the 23rd through the first few weeks of August.. then surely they would start calling soon, right??

However, judging from previous posts and other hospitals too.. there is really no telling when they will make any sort of decision.

For now, I just keep hoping and praying and trusting that something good will open up for us all!!

Oh my goodness, this is so nerve racking! I'm excited that I have not been declined yet, but I'll be away at camp for the week before the 23rd and am worried that they will try to contact me then! I applied for oncology and Cardiothoracic ICU. Thanks for the info and good luck!

Any word yet on how they will notify those of interviews? Phone calls, emails, smoke signals in the sky?? :)

Just wish we had more information.

Hey everyone! I contacted HR today and they told me that they will be calling people for interviews from July 23 to August 17. I was a bit confused because I thought this was the period when they would conduct interviews, but the nurse recruiter told me that they would just be contacting for interviews at that time... so, I guess we have to still wait? Such a long waiting process! Also, the recruiter said that you will get an email if you are not selected for an interview.

Yikes. Looks like for the next week I will be getting dysrhythmias each time my phone says I have a new email.
