USC New Grad Versant RN Residency Program September 2023

Nurses Residency

Published

Hi all,

Creating a thread for those of us applying to connect with one another. The website currently lists June 5, 2023 - June 19, 2023 as the application window for the September 11, 2023 cohort. However, I do see what I believe is an open posting at this time. Also wondering, did you guys single or double space your personal statement?

Thanks!

This is the link (https://usccareers.usc.edu/job/glendale/new-grad-registered-nurse-full-time-fixed-term-6-month-program-variable-shifts/1209/49675383408) to the New Grad Application.

Not sure if this helped? I am confused why the website says application period starts June 19th when this application was posted on 5/30.

Which units are they hiring for? The application is kind of vague.

Hi! Just applied. Im actually really nervous because I'm applying from the east-coast and I really hope that doesn't affect my chances of getting in. I know this is a very competitive program. Is anyone else applying outside of CA?

I'm confused regarding the "cover letter attachment." Isn't that the same thing as our personal statement?

Specializes in Operating Room.

Just applied today for the ICU/CCU posting. I listed other specialties as my choices in my cover letter and personal statement though. I hope that's what they intended... for the job postings to be a gateway to other potential units.. ? *shrug*

That being said, I'd be very happy to start in the ICU. ??

Specializes in Operating Room.

Is everyone applying already an RN? I take my NCLEX in July. Hoping that's acceptable ?

I applied on Monday. My application says under consideration. Did anyone receive interview invites yet ?

It's been radio silence on here. LOL. Did anyone receive a questionnaire after submitting the application? Good luck to everyone!

The want two separate documents. The personal statement had more specific instructions like "what does nursing mean to you?” Etc. Good to see a fellow Navy person on here. Good luck!

Hahaha seriously! I haven't received anything yet - have you gotten a questionnaire?

No I haven't.

@Sailor560 @missesnurse16 still no updates on my end either. Both of my applications say " under review" & " under consideration"

Hi! Same my application says under review as well. Also I think I messed up, I didn't realize we could do both ICU and telemetry apps because I picked one ICU and one telem unit?? I only submitted a telemetry application
