USC Keck Versant RN Residency Program April 2022

Published

Hi everyone,

I wanted to start this thread to help anyone who applied for USC Keck Versant RN Residency Program that starts in April 2022. This can be used to provide status updates on applications or interviews.

Personally for me, I got an interview for surgical-tele, if anybody can shed some light on what to expect or what kind of questions will be asked, any guidance is appreciated! Thank you in advance.

Congratulations on getting an interview! I interviewed last Thursday and I was told they would get back to me within a week or two. The interview was pretty straightforward, it was mainly questions about past situations and experiences (name a time you didn't get along with a coworker what did you do, etc.) you've had so they can get to know you more. Good luck ?

Hi y'all. Looks like this thread is fairly new. Glad to be a part of it.

I was hoping to get some feedback on if anyone has been contacted for an interview and how the interview process looks like.

I applied to a couple ICU positions for Keck's April 2022 Versant New Grad RN Residency Program. My submissions were completed about 25 days ago and my application status hasn't changed from "Under Review". It's a little discouraging, but I'm still hopeful.

Also, at the time of application I was only a BSN graduate, not licensed as an RN. I applied because I knew the application period was only open for a certain time. I've been licensed since 2/16/22 but unfortunately I'm unable to edit my submission. I just wonder if that's the reason I haven't received a call back.

Thank you! I originally applied for step down but I was invited to apply for med surg/tele because step down wasn't taking any residents this cohort apparently. I should be hearing back from HR soon hopefully! Good luck!

I think that could be possible and maybe the system could've automatically filtered your application? Did you try calling again since? If I remember correctly, I think one of the questions on the application was if you have the required licenses/certifications and if you clicked no it said your application would not be considered. I didn't have my ACLS at the time but I still clicked yes because of that ?

I can't recall 100%. But I want to say I clicked "Yes" because I knew my application wouldn't be considered. I have recently reached out to HR via e-mail updating them on my licensure. The HR rep said they would forward the information over to the recruiter. Still waiting.

That should be a good sign then. Good luck to you!

Hi,

I applied for most positions, but I only received a call back for an interview for surgical tele and I had that interview yesterday. Looking at my account right now, the status for all my applications are "Under Review" or "Under Consideration", even the position I interviewed for. I'm not sure if they are good at updating application statuses ? I'm expecting to hear back from them in a week or so, like @nurserichie mentioned.

I'll update this thread if I hear anything back. Best of luck to all!

Hi everyone! I also applied for the residency program at Keck ? Congrats on the interviews! I'm approaching my interview date soon and was wondering if it was as difficult as other hospitals? I really don't want to the get something out of left field...

How did everyone’s interviews go? Have you heard back?

I am wondering if the application is still open? I see that they are still publishing listings. Basically, I can't start until beginning of June. Do you know if the program starts all on one day, or in waves? Thanks
