Would you mind telling us how the 3 day shadowing process went? Where did you go for yours? Did you have to do a presentation? Any other pertinent information would be great, I head out to Fort Gordon on Sunday afternoon for my shadowing.

Just followed SRNAs currently in the program. One junior and a couple seniors. Asked tons of questions about their feelings and experience through the program. Third day was part shadowing and then interview. They asked questions about the chapter we read, some clinical questions, asked us questions up situations, personality questions etc. It was at Lewis-McChord. They really want to make sure you know what you're getting into.
The last information I received from Dr. Craig and Dr. White is the last interviews are scheduled for the second week of July. They will notify the chosen accepted VA nurse to submit their application to Baylor's University before the application deadline on Tuesday Aug 01, 2022.
For the last interview, it is not an email. It is a phone call with the interview coordinator from a verified Florida phone number. Then, they will send a Microsoft Teams confirmation to your listed email.
I am so thrilled to be invited to the last interview. Time to brush up on my CCRN. Also, did anyone else get an invite?
I received a phone call for an interview as well! Has anyone heard any info on how long this interview is, what it entails, who it is with, etc? The scheduler did not give much information other than picking a time. I was surprised that it was another Zoom interview and not in-person. Such an exciting time and best wishes to all who are interviewing and have already been accepted!
It will be a panel interview with the director and/or deputy director, the VA CRNA Education program representatives and the Phase II liaisons. This interview will be clinically based and related to your ICU experience. What is your typical patient and the pharmacokinetics of the drug therapies used? What are the mechanism of action? The adverse effect? Dosage?
I am practicing for the interview as if I should know my patient down to the molecular level. Haha!
