USAGPAN 2021

Published

This thread is super early but I want to create a spot for USAGPAN 2021 applicants to share our journey! I’m mostly posting this thread now to spread the word about Iowa Central Community College’s Intro to Organic and Biochem online course - CHM 130. This option was a lifesaver (read: time and money saver) for me and I have to pay it forward. I checked with the Baylor liaison and the course fulfills the chemistry requirement. The only prerequisite is Intro to Chemistry I. I hope this helps someone and I’m looking forward to the upcoming application year!

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for your reply. Did you see my response above for your paperwork issues? Was that at all helpful? That’s frustrating to hear you are getting the runaround... I don’t see why your agency would have a problem verifying hours worked, or why your most recent manager/educator wouldn’t sign off on that list of basic skills! Please keep us posted, and I will be sure to do the same.

Hey dude! Yes, I'm saw your reply..I managed to contact a couple of CNO's and then all of a sudden forms started coming to my email. Still pending a couple but the deadline is so close. Have you gone to MEPS yet?

Hey y'all!

Civilian applicant from Baltimore, MD. Application is submitted, just awaiting my GRE scores and then my Phase II interview.

After COVID cancelled my test dates twice, finally just decided to take it at home on July 1st. Wish me luck!

Super excited for the possibility to be future classmates. We got this ?

Hi! How was it? I'm sure you nailed it!!

It went well! How is your application coming along?

Does anyone have an a Phase II interview set up this week or maybe the next. I have mine coming up in a couple of days. I am not sure what to expect.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to give an update! I was FINALLY able to get my shadow experience (found a dude who's friends with a dude who knows the dude I needed to talk to that was willing to be a dude for me). Retook my GRE to get an overall 310 with 4.5 in writing (1st time didn't finish second essay). Interview went very well -- it lasted about 30 min. and got a "highly recommend" evaluation! Is anyone aware of the different levels of "recommend" there are, or has anyone heard different? I guess my biggest concern is I wasn't able to schedule my CCRN until Sep. 1, so I'm gonna have to say "no" on the Baylor application :( My GPA is strong, so hopefully I'll be good!

I counted 85 recipients on the reminder email for the application deadline from LTC Kertes -- best of luck to everyone on this forum!

Fortunately, since I am already commissioned in the Reserve I just needed to provide my PHA from last year, so no MEPS for me :)

Hmmm, this thread seems to have died off... Did anyone who has been posting on this thread actually end up applying?

I delayed my application because my husband went overseas ? I’m applying for FY 2022 ??

Hey dude! I ended up applying. I did my interview July 22. Got all my paperwork done just in time.
