USA state license question

Published

Is it possible that one can acquire and hold two licenses of two different states in the USA? For instance, I passed my NCLEX-RN exam ( California) and already received my notification of passing the said exam. And I wanted to endorse it to another state to get a license. Is it possible to also get a license in California while having another state license?

i appreciate all of your responses. thank you, somehow i was elucidated about my concern.

best of luck to me!:wshgrt: i have to strive hard and pray unceasingly...

thanks for your help!

thanks ! i think i have met all the requirements needed for an international nurse. I passed NCLEX and IELTS, I have my visa screen too.

Thank you so much...

You still do not hold a license for the US if you do not have a SSN# and you have gone thru CA. VSC does not have any part of this. Licensure and immigration are two very different items. VSC is needed for immigration purposes only. It has nothing to do with specifics for licensure. And since you do not hold a license number from any state in the US, then you are not considered a US RN by all intensive purposes.

This is the point that we are trying to make to you. Passing of the NCLEX exam is only one part of the licensing requirements and does not make you an RN here if you do not have a number assigned to you.

Not sure if you hold a local license as well. Quite a few of the states are not issuing a license if you do not possess this. Just wanted to give you a head's up on this since there is no mention of it.
