Just pretty much waiting at this point. Good luck.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to see if anyone had more information on how the selection process works. So, I know that if you get chosen by the Army Board in July, it's not a guarantee that Baylor will also accept you in August. But do you guys know anyone who has been selected by the board but not baylor? I heard it is rare, but wanted to see what other people might have heard...

I have heard the same thing, although I am sure there has been some cases where it has happened. Hoping to hear some good news in a few weeks though.

So it has happened before where they did not align (this was for my class while I was also a recruiter). The army release was all messed up and essentially usagpan basically told them to buzz off and that they don't select their students. I don't know if it has happened since but I err on the side of caution saying that it can happen but is unlikely.

I just wanted to say quite a few of you will get bad news and a few will get good news. CRNA school is regularly a multiple application process. Don't be discouraged. For many of you your meps physical will still be valid and many other pieces or paperwork. Please reapply but as always don't put all your eggs in one basket. Best of luck!

Is the Army Nurse Corps board pretty competitive?

My understand is that It is more competitive than normal. A lot of people wanted the gre, and biochem within 5 yr requirements removed however that also has had the effect of increasing the applicant pool. Please do not ask me for numbers. I speak mostly from the rumor mill based on discussions from when I see the director and ask about it and also from viewing the acting duty numbers that were preliminarily selected through lthet.

Praying for some good news, since my interview, I've gotten my CCRN and finishing biochem with a 4.0. Hopefully this makes up for my minimum ICU experience of 1.5 years.

Specializes in ICU.

Does anyone know approx when we'll hear back from the Army Board? Mid-July or towards the end?

Fingers crossed for everyone! 🤞🏼

I think they meet 16-19. So maybe the following week, but not positive.

Specializes in CVICU, CCU, Paramedic.

I am in the FY24 Cohort and I found out about the Army Board on August 8th last year but didn't get anything from Baylor until later that month. I would make sure you're staying on top of your recruiter about it. Especially if you don't hear anything by the first or second week of August. Mine was solid and let me know as soon as it dropped but recruiters vary greatly.
