Was wondering who all was applying to USAGPAN FY2025?

Nothing is final yet but we've been told last day for us is 6 June 2025 and then we travel/settle in to phase 2 sites with a report date of 22 June 2025 and a first day of phase 2 start 23 June 2025 so we'll have a little bit of a break kind of about the same as holiday block leave which we started yesterday

Anyone know how often we will have to be on base or what the plan will be for those 2 weeks prior to DCC? Trying to see if commuting from my in laws those 2 weeks will be doable. They live about 50 mins away.

Hey there, we came in person every other day to check-in and then did a virtual check-in on the off days. As I'm sure others have said, there are no guarantees to the schedule being the same!

What is a holiday block leave? Is it a mandatory leave USAGPAN students take since there are no classes for 2 weeks? Are you allowed to go out-of-state to visit family during the holidays? Thanks

Holiday block leave is just a time when they program does not have anything officially scheduled (like classes) around the holiday. For us this year, it was just over two weeks. They won't force you to take leave but it is encouraged because if you don't take leave during this time, you can be used for duty assignments around the company during the break. Nothing is ever guaranteed with leave because it has to go through the company commander for approval but I think it was approved pretty liberally for holiday block leave. 


Many of us took the opportunity to travel out of state to visit family during this time and a few classmates are even traveling oversees although that is a MUCH more involved process. It's definitely a nice break and opportunity to travel home and decompress before getting back into things in January.
