Hi AllNurses community! I have been searching for a thread for the UPMC Mercy Hospital Class of 2015, but alas; no such luck. Therefore, I created one!
I was accepted to start in August 2013 and was looking for others who were, or are looking to be accepted. I know it's early still, but I am ready to start school and secure a study group.
Now to my question: I know Mercy has a tuition contract. Does anyone know anything about it? Is it a good deal? I know they are sending information about it, but I am interested in hearing opinions.
Ugh I am really going to appreciate if I get into mercy... They rescheduled my class to help with the exam. Does anyone know how many confirmed mercy has? As of feb there were 33. Do you know the deadline? And what is the latest anyone has heard of someone getting in??
Rae, I would think that it depends on the last testing date (which I believe is sometime in may). I'm not sure if all of the seats fill up by then, but I would guess that's the deadline anyway. Good luck and please keep us posted!

Ok! I got my info packet in the mail today and it looks like I have to CLEP 4 classes!...WHOA! Lol. And get my CPR, clearance and physical. It's a lot but I'm so excited! Guess I better start buying CLEP study guides! Hahaha
I'm going to get started on the clearances tomorrow. They said they would sent info about the physical later, but it has to be completed by orientation in June. I've taken English 1, human growth & dev, intro to psych & soc but its been more than 5 years. So I'm going to get a CLEP study guide today and get started on those lol. BUT IM SO EXCITED! It'd be nice if they sent the book list now. I don't want to wait until July! Lol
@lindsey, I'm taking it at ccac's allegheny campus. I'm already there taking A&P 2 & microbiology, so...I'll probably take the first one during the first week of April. I'm looking for downloadable review books, so I'm probably going to do that tonight. Have you gotten any review books? Can u recommend any? College board has a review book on their website, but I'm wondering why theirs is only $10 and the others are like $30-$100 lol
