I have received an invitation for interviews at UPenn. Anyone with experience or wisdom to pass on? Thanks.

My Penn interview lasted about an hour. They asked me about my experience, what kind of patients I took care of, what my most challenging patient was and how I handled it. They also asked me if I had shadowed a CRNA, why I wanted to be a CRNA, what I knew about being a CRNA...I would recommend being familiar with being a CRNA and what they do. I was accepted for May 2008.

natbug...have you heard anything from penn yet? I am also applying there for May 09, and have many of your same questions (i.e.-how you were notified about interview?, how long it took to be notified, etc.) Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Good luck.

hello,
I got a telephone call regarding my interview. I called and setup a time for my interview. The interview was okay. They asked my why CRNA?, Why PENN?, Describe my unit and pt's I take care of. Thay also asked me about IABPs and some vasoactive gtts. I knew all the answers and was excited that they asked me things I knew a lot about. They also asked me what my peers would say were my strengths and weaknesses. I was notified by mail about 4 weeks after my interview that I was not accepted for the '09 cohort However, I did my best and I don't think I could have done anything different. Anyway, Best of luck to you I hope the outcome for you is better and I hope this helps you.- natbug
