UPenn CRNA 2020

Published

Hi everyone, just wanted to start a thread for everyone who applied for UPenn. Has anyone heard back from the admission committee? If so, when did you apply and how long before did you get an interview? Good luck everyone

Still haven’t heard back ? though they did email me and said they’re still reviewing applications. Good Luck to everyone who’s received interviews so far!

Hey don't lose hope just yet, I don't know if you've noticed but they changed their description on the website:

Good luck everyone who applied and invited to the interview at Penn. I'm a first year SRNA soon to be 2nd year at Penn. It has been a great experience, personally, for me. Love the program, overall, so far. I've been in the clinical for 7 months now (being in the integrated program); it was great because I can start "connecting most of the didactic knowledge (e.g., anesthesia physiology courses, basic and advance anesthesia courses, etc.) fresh from the classroom's lecture." I know Penn is "expensive," but, in my personal opinion, it's totally worth it.

That's great to hear, Penn has definitely been my top choice for school and the interview process seemed great. Both Professor Bent and Didonata seem super nice. I can't wait to hear because I'm excited to start looking for homes to live in as I'll have to move. Of course we wont hear until april though :(

Thanks for sharing your experience! It's similar to what the current second year students told us during the info session last week. Pretty comforting to hear if you ask me. But yes, the wait is pretty long! I was told maybe even early May

Yea that's definitely a long time! Hopefully its closer to april!

Hi friends!

I interviewed back in February. Has anyone heard anything back yet after interviewing? We were told that we would be notified of acceptance at the end of March-early April. And does anyone know whether to expect a call vs e-mail or letter in the mail?

Been checking the mail daily! So anxious to hear!

Hey,

No I haven’t. I was thinking the same thing. Hopefully we’ll hear something back this coming week.

They told us it will come as an email notification that "a decision has been made", at which point you have to login into your upenn application to find out the result of their decision. They also told us mid-april.

I interviewed back in March and I remember them saying that the admissions committee will meet mid-late April and the decisions will be sent out early May.

Is it the same login that we used for the initial application? That’s good to know, I must have missed that during the info session.
