  1. Good luck everyone who applied and invited to the interview at Penn. I'm a first year SRNA soon to be 2nd year at Penn. It has been a great experience, personally, for me. Love the program, overall, so far. I've been in the clinical for 7 months now (being in the integrated program); it was great because I can start "connecting most of the didactic knowledge (e.g., anesthesia physiology courses, basic and advance anesthesia courses, etc.) fresh from the classroom's lecture." I know Penn is "expensive," but, in my personal opinion, it's totally worth it.
  2. Yes you can take certain courses beforehand. I was thinking the same way last year and I spoke with two of the SRNAs from the 2017 Cohort. They said you can take it. However, you have to ask the program director to matriculate you prior taking those courses. I personally felt that my priority was to keep accumulating my ICU experiences and "money," so, I didn't pursue the interest. I am planning not to work at all for the next three years.
  3. To all my fellow 2018 Cohort, the summer and fall course registrations are now open and fully functional.
  4. Congratulations!!! I will be more than happy to share with you my experience with the program once I start as much as I can when time permits . Good luck to you too!
  5. Our three years journey starts May 10th. Together, we shall sweat, bleed, and cry marching to the top of Mount Victory :)
  6. Great, I work in one of NYC CTICU... Long Island isn't too far...
  7. what a nice surprise :). Welcome... Are you working in NYC, by any chance?
  8. submitted my application on second week of March, interviewed on third week of May, and received decision on third week of June.
  9. Thank you sir/mam.
  10. Hi wjsb, you mentioned a hand book. I don't think I have one. Where and how can get one? Also, I am a dad, so I will definitely need to learn some of those jokes from you :). Btw, since we are going to spend three years together, is it okay if I ask where is everyone came from. I live here in south jersey, 35-40 min from Philly. I used to live in NYC. I moved here for almost a year now.
  11. 7 more months...are you guys excited? Can't wait to start the journey with all of you. I know it won't be a cake walk at all. The journey will be filled with our blood and tears, but I believe we are all going to make it. See you all soon :)
  12. I just got my POS sent to my email.
  13. Sylvia never responded to my email. After I saw your post, I just sent her another email asking her if I can receive mine over email. Thanks Ldv119 for the input.
  14. Yes, I don't see it on my application portal either. Tried to call the nursing admission office this morning, but no luck... I sent an email to Sylvia English as well... Looking forward to meet with all of you next year :)
