2018 UPenn BSN/MSN

Published

Greetings fellow 2018 UPenn BSN/MSN applicants! Just thought I could start a thread for the incoming applicants so we can help each other out through the application process.

Does anyone know if we need to submit separate transcripts for study abroad programs if it's already clearly stated on our official undergraduate transcript? Thanks! : )

Did they say that they are for sure releasing the decisions feb 8 or is that a speculation?

That's what I'm wondering, too! They seem to have made a majority, if not all, of the decisions at this point!

Lol, it's only been two months! :p

Yes! I feel so impatient!

I am not sure if this may affect us and I hate to even think about it but the University sent out an email yesterday to their staff stating that they would be suspending normal university operations on Thursday, Feb 8th. I am originally from the area and I am more than positive that the University has chosen to do this so that everyone can participate in the parade to celebrate the Eagles winning the Super Bowl, because it is our first and it is a huge deal.

So yes, I am super excited that we won, as I am a huge football fan! H O W E V E R, I am cringing at the thought of waiting until Friday for admission decisions just because of the parade :(

Ugh, I received that email as well. Which makes me wonder exactly how they will notify us "throughout" this week if no one hears anything today or tomorrow...which means that we'll just have to wait until Friday.

Which sucks because I'm holding off deciding on another school until a UPenn acceptance/rejection. I guess I'm feeling a little impatient myself *sigh*

My birthday is this weekend, so I'm really hoping that those celebrations aren't dampened by waiting for a decision email. I can live with the rejection better than this indefinite waiting.

God as if I needed another reason to hate football

Did you guys receive an email from Penn nursing yesterday stating the University would be closed tomorrow?

Does anyone wanna call and ask if the results will be delayed because of this? Please :)

I think it's more of a logistical concern honestly! The commuter trains from the burbs are not stopping at all stops (including the University City stop that many Penn employees get off at) and both of the subways aren't making stops at city hall so nobody will be able to make a direct transfer between the BSL and the MFL and trolleys.

So, its possible Penn being closed may affect the admissions timeline, but folks in Philly have been preparing for tomorrow's logistical complications all week and like another poster said above, the decisions may be slowly rolled out the rest of the week. If not, I think it won't be the end of the world to wait a few more days. Good luck all!

My message was more-so about University being closed rather than saying it was solely due to super bowl celebrations, and of course it won't be the end of the world. This was merely me communicating to other applicants the bit of information that I received just like everyone else has been doing :).
