Hi everyone. I have an upcoming job interview in two weeks and need some advice. Would you wear a light purple skirt suit (knee length when standing) with black undershirt and heels? OR is it better off with a black pant suit?

I personally avoid two main colors. Black and Red. Both have negative aires about them in some cases...and well I try not to take a chance!
The best colors to wear is a nice peach, blue, green or lavender/light purple! Calming colors that give the person more of a soothing aire. I avoid prints or make sure they are very mild prints because people do tend to focus on the prints rather than you.
I also keep my jewlery small and unstately, nails clean with no polish, sensible but nice shoes, nice clean hair, and very very mild body spray (no perfumes). I want the interview more interested in me when I speak or ask questions than what I am wearing!
Also, make sure you have at least three but no more than four good questions using key phrases like 'teamwork', 'continuity', 'patient care', or use their mission statement. That shows interest in the facility and shows professionalism :).
Also, sending a thank you card to the interviewer right away shows class and good work ethics. I typically write it in the car before leaving, and bring up one big positive said during the interview to leave that on top of their minds when I am not there! :)
Good luck!

Good advice TriageRN!
I just wanted to add the importance of sending a thank you letter to all whom you interviewed with. I try to have the cards and envelopes already addressed, just add the names of each person (individual cards). Ask for thier business card so you can spell the names correctly. Good luck!
Just noticed TriageRN also stated this! sorry for duplicate post!

Just look professional....no loud colors, patterned hose, stilletto heels!!!
And I agree with the OP....personalized thank you cards are a must.
Good Luck on your interview!

Thanks for the reply and extra advice. It's greatly appreciated.
Any other pointers?
What kind of questions should I ask?
I haven't worked since November last year due to family obligations, so it's been awhile.
