What agency does a nurse call when she feels unsafe due to inappropriate nurse to patient ratios? I am literally scared to go to work tomorrow! Please help!

No one knows where you are or what resources you might have available. Calling in would be an option anywhere, I guess ...and if you truly feel endangered, it's time to look for another job and maybe not go back at all.
I am in Texas. While I am scared for myself, I am also scared for my patients. I was just wondering what to do...what resources do I have?

Texas------Safe Harbor
Safe Harbor is also what I know of for Texas ..but it's always seemed to be more about protecting nurses from not being able to care for an unreasonable load of patients adequately. Is this an issue of an unreasonable workload or do you feel as though you're in physical danger? I'm not sure how effective safe harbor would be for the latter, but I don't have any experience with it in that context.
