Hi everyone, I have created this thread so we can keep each other updated on applying for nursing program.
Hi there. I took my HESI 3 weeks ago. I started preparing about a month in advance with the first 3 weeks just taking all of the practice tests online that I could find, for all of the subjects and reviewing the Elsevior book. The last week I spent reviewing the slide presentations for each of the chapters of my A&P I and II classes. As far as the A&P section goes, there are 30 questions, with 25 scored and 5 exploratory questions (for future tests). On my test, I would say 85% of the test questions were general A&P questions, but about 15% of them were specific. Overall, the test was not as overwhelming as I thought and I was happy with my results. Just get a good night's sleep the night before, and on the day of the test eat a full breakfast (any time taken to get a snack during the test counts against your 4-hour time limit) and take your time on the test!
Cliff's Notes quizzes, test-guide.com, and Quizlet flashcards were ones I thought were most beneficial in terms of online options and one of the Quizlet questions was actually on my test. For Reading Comp, Grammar, and Math, the Elsevior book was the only study guide I needed - they were spot on with the content. For A&P, it was a good guide, but that's it - just a guide. I would say half of the questions I remember would not have come from what the Elsevier book alone offers. (A word of caution: Cliff's Notes contained some errors in their information so be careful if you are using it as your sole source for A&P review.)
Hey everyone! Does anyone know when the last signing session is this week? Maybe the reason there was 21 people in the signing session is that they divided whatever people they were going to have sign on Friday, but since it's Nevada day they probably don't have a signing session that day.
I had my session last Thursday and it was full with 19 people. The woman administering the session said the cut off for Fall 2015 was 90.7 I believe so I am going to say the range is in the 90's for this Spring. I'm retaking my HESI today for a possible higher score. I can't believe how intense this is.

Yes there is, and I believe it depends on the test.
