    UNLV SON Spring 2016

Hi EMKY. If I had my own place, I would gladly offer. If you can't find someone to stay with, at least you are coming out at a time when hotel rates have lower rates. You might be able to find a good deal at one of the off strip hotels.

Congrats EMKY... I'll see you and NIP1317 next Friday as my signing is that day/time as well.

Thank you! I really think they are making the calls randomly though.

    UNLV SON Spring 2016

Hi again. There were only about 10 people in my signing session and mine was the 8th. I think a lot of people waited until the end of the month so they had to squeeze people in. I hope people will post when they receive calls and their points (like they did for the last semester thread on here) so we get an idea of timing and the cutoff! Good luck everyone!

Cliff's Notes quizzes, test-guide.com, and Quizlet flashcards were ones I thought were most beneficial in terms of online options and one of the Quizlet questions was actually on my test. For Reading Comp, Grammar, and Math, the Elsevior book was the only study guide I needed - they were spot on with the content. For A&P, it was a good guide, but that's it - just a guide. I would say half of the questions I remember would not have come from what the Elsevier book alone offers. (A word of caution: Cliff's Notes contained some errors in their information so be careful if you are using it as your sole source for A&P review.)

    UNLV SON Spring 2016

Hi there. I took my HESI 3 weeks ago. I started preparing about a month in advance with the first 3 weeks just taking all of the practice tests online that I could find, for all of the subjects and reviewing the Elsevior book. The last week I spent reviewing the slide presentations for each of the chapters of my A&P I and II classes. As far as the A&P section goes, there are 30 questions, with 25 scored and 5 exploratory questions (for future tests). On my test, I would say 85% of the test questions were general A&P questions, but about 15% of them were specific. Overall, the test was not as overwhelming as I thought and I was happy with my results. Just get a good night's sleep the night before, and on the day of the test eat a full breakfast (any time taken to get a snack during the test counts against your 4-hour time limit) and take your time on the test!

    UNLV SON Spring 2016

Hi everyone! I too am applying for the Spring 2016 class and I know of 3 others who are applying as well. All four of us are applying with a deficit of one class (we are all currently completing our last pre-requisite course) so the challenge is even greater. (I know someone mentioned they are in Bubb's CHEM 108 class; that's the class I'm taking right now.) Hearing how some of you have 94 points overall makes me a little nervous as I'm applying with 90 points overall (if I did the math correctly). However, I'm not going to stress over it as I know that if I don't get in for the Spring, I will have a better chance for Summer admission once my Chem class is completed. I scheduled my signing session for October 9th at 11 a.m. Is anyone else in that session?
