Hi all! I would like to start a forum for all the UNLV students who are applying for the Fall 2016 semester into the SON. Here we can all discuss and share each others' information, concerns, and anything else regarding the fall admission. Deadline to apply is July 1, 2016. So where is everyone at now?

I really hope they're still making calls! Their office closes in an hour and still nothing yet.. it's nerve-wrecking! someone with 92.17 got in already so just anxiously waiting

I just called the UNLV SON. They said that the cut off for fall was 92.74 points. Good luck to everyone applying for spring 2017! :)

Probably not. I was kind of close to the cut off. I'm going apply to some other schools next time just as a back up. How about you MissesWoo?

I'm not planning on retaking classes. I didn't really do good the first time I took HESI, so I'm planning to retake it again before the Nov 1st deadline. Hopefully, I get a better grade. @birdofparadise

Do those schools require other classes to take for the program? @birdofparadise

MissesWoo, that's a good plan (: im retaking chem right now to put my points up to a 94-95 range for the spring!

They both require Chem with a lab and Com 101. The other class requirements are similar to UNLV. CSU San Marcos has 3 cohorts a year like UNLV, but for their accelerated nursing program you have to already have a bachelor's degree.
