UNLV NURSING-Spring 2022 COHORT

Published

Hello everyone! I created this in order for us UNLV pre-nursing students who are applying for Spring 2022 admission to share HESI A2 exam scores and to ask questions. It would be greatly appreciated if you guys post your HESI scores, points, and stats :)

Goodluck everyone!

@unlvfuturenurse94 no V2 questions thankfully. Personally, V1 is a lot easier than V2

I have 94.15 points, I’m not sure if I will get in? What do you guys think the cut off will be?

hi guys..

I'm applying with 95.3 points. I'm nervous about the results but remaining optimistic ! ?

Did you apply last semester?

hi! yes I did, it was pretty brutal tbh ?

Hi guys!

Today’s the last day! I’m applying with 93.79 points… I’m not confident about it but I’m hoping for the best. I spoke to someone in the SON and they said there are about 210 applicants for this cohort… that plays a huge part on the cutoff scores.
I’m already starting to plan out my Winter classes to retake either Chem 108 or Bio 251 because I got a B in those classes and if I get an A, I can apply with higher points for the Summer 2022 semester.
I’m really scared tbh… almost everyone I’ve seen on here that posted their points have 94 and higher so feeling so nervous.
Hope everyone in here gets in though! Good luck everyone.

Applying with 94.35 points hopefully enough

Hi everyone!
Again, I would like to wish everyone the best of luck!
I am also one of those who applied last semester and did not make it with a 94.2 point

My advice is please do not give up and do everything in your power to get in for the following cohort if you do not get in (even if it is just adding 1/2 a point to your application)

I re-took psychology and sociology over the Summer( even though I already had A’s in those two classes, but I did it just to get the “Rebel Recognition”) (0.5 pt)

I also re-took my HESI and went from a 92.5% to a 96.5% on my HESI…

Now I’m applying to the program again with a 96.5 pt…

On another note, last semester was very competitive & I do believe that this semester will be much easier to get into than the last one ?

If I do not make it, I also have plans to re-take Chemistry but giving up will not be an option here ?

The way I think about it is this. There’s 210 applicants. And you have let’s say 94 points. The highest possible points is, let’s say is 102. That means that there’s 8 points of competition above you and the school accepts 72.

out of 210 people, do you think 72 students have up to 8 points higher than you?  That kind of helps with a reality check. I’m hanging at around 93.5 and I’m still being optimistic!

let’s hope for the best.

To be honest… I really don’t know because in between each point, let’s say 94-95, there are those .5’s, .6’s, .3’s and based on what I’ve seen on this forum, there are a lot of people with points on the higher end of the point scale.. ex: 96.85

I was told by someone in SON that last Spring 2021, there were 130 applicants, Summer 2021 had 180, fall 2021 had over 200 and same goes for this cohort in Spring 2022.
The cutoff was really high this fall which is scary….

but I am trying to look above all of this and just wish for the best. I have heard stories of people being called because other people gave up their seat in the program and they were offered the seat! There is always hope! Good luck everyone ?

Does anyone think they will let us know on Monday or later in the week since they were closed yesterday because of the holiday?
I am so anxious
