I've been waiting to see if anyone posted a topic for the UW DNP 2020 application cycle. Anyone here apply this year? Nervous to see how the online interview is structured.

This was me last year....I think if you apply more than once it helps. Hang in there. What track did you apply for?

Thank you...

I applied for FNP.

What process did you take to better your application this year?

Specializes in Critical Care.

I ALSO GOT IN YOU GUYS!! Woke up in vegas to this fantastic news!! Congrats everyone!! See ya'll in the fall!!

Do you want to email me? [email protected]

I applied for the Acute track, and I was in care management, so I went back to the floor. I also have been volunteering in my community a lot. I know you can't go to the information sessions, but they post them online, so you should listen to them. They tell you exactly what they want in the essays. I think if they see your application again, with growth in leadership, you have a better shot. Join unit practice councils, work on projects that you can add to your resume, do things that a nurse leader would do. What references did you use? Did they meet the requirements?

Thank you! I’ll go ahead and email you.

Not sure if I lack the experience, as I was not in acute care initially.

To anyone that wants to email me any advice or your words of encouragement (kidding, LOL. but honestly...), my email is [email protected].

Happy for you all! Maybe I will get there next time! Congratulations!

Didn't get in but #1 on the waitlist for PNP-AC. Those who have been waitlisted before or have gone to information sessions...what are your thoughts on my chances of getting in? Congratulations to all that have gotten in!

I think you have a very good shot. I was #8 on the wait list last year for acute track and ended up as #4. #1 means only 1 person has to decide not to go! I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

This might be a dumb question but do you think the waitlist is for the entire DNP program or is it per track specialty?

Specializes in Telemetry/Neuro/Stepdown.

I would assume per specialty as each track has a different number of spots.

Specializes in psychiatric nursing.

Accepted into DNP-FNP! So happy. ?
Congrats everyone!
