I've been waiting to see if anyone posted a topic for the UW DNP 2020 application cycle. Anyone here apply this year? Nervous to see how the online interview is structured.

Hello! I am applying as well, AGNP-AC track :). I'm typing up responses to common interview questions and practicing recording myself on my computer. Do you guys know if there will be spell check on the proctored essay? I will be instantly rejected without spell check haha.

Hey! I applied for the Adult Gerontology Acute Care track. I went to one of the informational sessions in December and it sounds like the interview questions are pretty tame. For example, last year, one of the questions was "who is your hero and why" (something along those lines). The instructors also made it seem the essay portion of the interview is equally low-key (I don't think you'll have anything to worry about lisarn789....auto-correct has ruined us all : ))
I will say, the statistics they provided at the meeting regarding the acceptance rate, per program, was a little disconcerting: the AGAC track has roughly a 38% acceptance rate; however, I work with two RN's in the same track and they made it sound like as long as you follow the application instructions to a "T", your chances of getting in are pretty good.
Good luck everyone! We need more NP's out there!!
I'm basically doing the same by looking up common DNP questions and organizing my thoughts about them. I applied for the Nurse-Midwife track. Good luck with your interviews this week ?

Hi everyone. I too am applying this year. Submitted my application a long time ago and now I'm sort of dreading the interview this week. I am good with gathering my thoughts and answering questions but I am afraid I might freeze up during the actual recording. By the way, does anyone know how long the essay portion of the interview has to be? I'm applying to the FNP track. Here's to hoping we all get in. Cheers.

Yes, so good to be completely done with such a rigorous application process!!! The questions were challenging, but in a good way. Best of luck to all and maybe we will all see each other this fall ::fingers crossed::
