University of Washington DNP 2020

I've been waiting to see if anyone posted a topic for the UW DNP 2020 application cycle. Anyone here apply this year? Nervous to see how the online interview is structured.

OK IM DONE. Jeez i can finally breathe. I am so relieved i just want to collapse in bed and not move for like 5 days you guys. All the best to those who still have to interview. You will be just fine. See y'all in the Fall hopefully yes?

it took less for me because i went with my first recording. You get 2 attempts per recording, In the end, the interview will be as long as YOU make it.

Thank you for sharing the acceptance rate stats, gives me peace of mind.

Also good to hear we get two attempts per question. I was hoping we could do best out of three but I'll take what I can get xD.

I'll be ripping the bandaid off later this evening. Whew, can't wait to be DONE!

DNP-FNP applicant here! I just finished the interview, not too bad. Good luck to everyone applying!!! Let the waiting games begin.

Whew! Just finished here too! Just a word of the wise for those who still have yet to complete it, if you choose to do a second recording that is the response that is submitted. I froze a bit on my second response unfortunately and wish I stuck with the first. Good luck everyone!

Hey all,

After a touch of procrastination I completed the interview. It wasn't as nerve-wracking as I anticipated! Good luck to those who have yet to complete it.

Hi! Glad I found this forum after having anxiety over this whole application process.

Did anyone else feel like they bombed the interview portion? WELL, cheers! After I submitted my responses, I sat and thought that I just lowered my chances of getting in.

Oh well, it’s all over now.

Anyone have any insight to how they score the online interview portion?

I don't have any insight into how they score the interviews however, if you look at it this way, they already have the rest of your application which is strong enough for them to offer you an interview.

In regards to how the interview portion is scored; when I attended an in-person session for my specific track (PNP) the graduate admissions coordinator informed us that no applicant would be rejected based upon interview performance (she added unless there was something truly alarming in our responses, haha). She said the interview is simply an opportunity for faculty to see your face, and and humanize your application and the writing portion is to verify that your essays are your own work.
