Hey Guys!

Didn't see anyone start one yet for this application round for UW nursing and though may as well start one.

Hopefully this will help everyone out that reads this, and that joins into the conversation.

Ive been reading the past BSN application posts, and already learned a lot of info!

Congrats to everyone who was accepted! And to those who were not - if becoming a nurse is your dream, do you give up! You will be able to become a nurse as long as you keep working towards this goal. I was rejected last year and this year I was accepted. I have grown a lot and am grateful/humbled by my journey thus far. Best of luck to all of you!

Hey guys. I got into UW as well! I also was accepted to SPU and SU, and am having a hard time deciding which to go to. In the end, I think I am going to choose SU. I have a friend who is in the UW nursing program, and a few coworkers in the SU nursing program! I have heard better things personally from them about SU, and also have toured the campus and think it is the right place for me. :) Great job everyone on getting accepted to UW, and I hope the best to all those that didnt! Dont let the rejection stop you from pursing a nursing degree! Is anyone else choosing SU over UW?

I got a rejection letter from UW today. However, I got into SU, and had already committed to SU for the very reasons you stated. I think the program is a better fit for my needs as a student. Anyways, if you end up choosing SU, I have started a facebook page for our cohort. That goes to anyone on here that chooses SU. DM me and I will send you the link. Congrats to all who got in to UW!

I got into UW and SPU! I think I am going to decide on SPU, like you said for smaller class size and extra clinical time. It is more expensive, but it will be worth it in the long run. Less anxiety when we enter the real world of nursing :-) Congrats and good luck at UW!

My friend and coworker went to SU and is now a nurse down in San Diego in their trauma ICU, she said nothing but great things about their campus and faculty. I also work with another person who went to SU and her daughter is also their for nursing and all the same story, wonderful faculty and my coworker said "it just felt right" as well. Congratulation on getting into the programs and you will do wonderful wherever you choose :)

UW is a wonderful school as well and it is drastically cheaper! I have a girlfriend who is graduating this year from there and is so happy and proud to be a HUSKY nurse!

I got in :laugh: ! I just went through my first week in an ADN program but I'm withdrawing tomorrow morning because I worked toooo hard to get into UW lol. Yay! I'm so excited!

Hey do you guys know if we can turn in our intent to register form and check in person? It states we can mail it, but it does mot specify if we can also turn it in in person at the SON.

I know! I was wondering if they send out rejection letters after acceptance letters but people already got rejection letters. So I don't know? Maybe a postal service issue. Who knows. anyway, best of luck.

Again, for anyone that has received a thick standard size envelope (non-manila envelope), you probably got in. For anyone who received a thin envelope, you might have also gotten in or gotten on the wait list. Please read through everything in that envelope and make sure you mail and/or fax your intent, money, library card access, and/or whatever else that needs to be turned in ASAP, since it is DUE NEXT WEEK. I'd find the quickest way to turn it in, including calling the UW SON staff to see if you can turn in the forms in-person. I don't want anyone giving up their spots because of something very preventable. Read EVERYTHING that was mailed to you, since there are MANY DEADLINES you have to follow by. IF YOU HAVE NOT GOTTEN ANYTHING IN THE MAIL, please call UW School of Nursing ASAP, so you will not miss the deadline. If you have had mailing issues in the past, it might be worth mentioning that on the phone. If this message is inaccurate, please message Allnurses staff to have the post modified or removed. If this message is accurate, please quote and reply to this post, so that more people are aware of these issues.
