Hi NP hopefuls! Starting a thread for those applying to the UVic NP Program for fall 2025. I am an RN who graduated from U of C in 2020 and have been working in cardiology in Calgary since.

Specializes in LTC, palliative care,adult-senior care,leadership.

Mine still says "under review". I am under the assumption that if we were not notified by now that its rejection.

EK2 maybe good news. I called graduate studies and they said if our applications are still "under review by the department" then our applications are still under review. People who were picked as the top 50 were notified. They will keep offering seats until filled. So if you were rejected then it should say that. I meant to ask them why some people have heard about being waitlisted. I asked how long it could take to heard back and he said it just depends on movement. Could be up until September.

Specializes in LTC, palliative care,adult-senior care,leadership.

Thanks for the update 🙂 @JessZ

For anyone that had "recommended by department", has your status changed? Mine now says "provisionally admitted".

Specializes in pediatric critical care, PAR, community health.

@JessZ,

No, it still says it's "under review" but I'm assuming that means I did not get into to the program

Mine also says "provisionally admitted" but I have received no word via email.

FYI - I received an email about the offer this morning

I haven't received an email yet hmm...

I see on my portal now that I was officially not accepted. Congrats to everyone who was, and best of luck to those applying again in the future. I'm always happy to hear any feedback from those who were accepted.

Hey in the email, did they the deadline to accept?

I was also not accepted. Rejected twice. Starting to lose hope.
Can anyone provide types on what could help? What did you outline in your LOI.
