University of Toledo Graduate Entry CNL program

Published

I recently applied to the University of Toledo Graduate Entry nursing program for those individuals with a non-nursing bachelor's degree to obtain their RN after successful completion of the NCLEX exam while also obtaining a MSN and a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) certification. I am patiently awaiting a decision and my anxiety is setting in so I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has applied to the same program or others? If so, have you heard anything? Are you willing to share credentials?

I know I feel the same way. I've been trying to be patient but it's just been a lot of waiting ANC wondering lately. The last time I had talked to someone at UT they said they weren't even sure if an exact date yet as to when we would hear back. I was hoping it was sometime soon, possibly in the next couple if weeks. I had asked if we would get calls regardless of whether or not a spot was open but I'm not sure if that's true or not. If I don't hear back within the next week or so I will probably call again. If I end up not getting a spot in the class I'm not quite sure what I'll do. I will probably ask what I need to work on in order to strengthen my application for next year and try to focus on that. What are your plans?

Yeah I was going to call again after this week as well to see if everyone accepted or if we are still waiting on that. But if I don't hear anything by August I plan to do an ADN program that ive been accepted to then just work my way up that way I guess.

Well if you hear anything new please let me know and I will do the same! Good luck and let's cross our fingers that we get an answer soon!

I just got the call yesterday that a place opened up and I've been offered a spot so I took it. I'm so excited but I told you id keep you updated. I really hope you get in as well, please let me know. Stay positive!

Congrats! That is such good news I am very happy to hear thar it worked out for ya! I still haven't heard anything new, but maybe I will call down today and see if they have nay more information. Thank you for the heads up and I'll let ya know what I find out!

Okay, and don't get discouraged people can still decline or accept and withdrawal you just never know. Im wondering how many people if any will be commuting like me. Are you from the Toledo area?

Yea, I actually ended up just calling there today. They said that a few people had declined their spot and that they are still waiting on a few people for answers. I guess there is still a slight possibility that more slots will open up, but I'm not for sure and I'm still just really hoping to get in. I don't live very far from Toledo, probably about 40 minutes or so, but if I were to be given a spot in the class I would like to move closer. That's another reason that I would like to find out sooner than later, because if I have to find a place to live down there, I would like to have enough time to plan and prepare for it lol.

Well I think that's good news for sure! I will keep my fingers crossed for you! And I know I will be commuting an hour. I live in Sandusky so its going to be a lot but I think its worth the sacrifice. I thought about moving to Maumee or something but it just wouldn't work for my family. But best of luck, and let me know if they call you!

I got my call today that a spot opened up on the waitlist and I accepted it!!! I am beyond happy, excited, nervous, and everything in between lol! Soo I will be seeing you all this fall!

Hey Patrick!

After getting the good news that I was finally accepted I am going to be looking for a place to live that is closer to UT.

Thank you

Rachel
