Published

Happy new year! I was just wanting to start a new thread for people who will be applying to USF CRNA program this year, 2025! Applications will be opening Feb 15, right around the corner. I still have a few things to complete. Taking Chem and A&P 1 and 2 over again at HCC.. took them 10 yrs ago so having to take again ?Not that A&P has changed much haha. I'll be applying before the priority deadline in Aug. Good luck to everyone applying this year!!

Specializes in Nurse Mentoring & Tutoring.

Hey future USF applicants! If you plan to apply, you should plan to interview! Start your interview prep now while working in the ICU-- the best way to do that is to ask "why" whenever and however often you can!

Also, be sure to grab our free interview prep guide here: https://www.cspaedu.com/questions

Cheering you on!

Hey. I'll be applying. Probably in June or July. I still have to take CCRN. I just scheduled it for April.

Specializes in Neuro ICU.

I will be applying as well. Just pending the GRE and finishing up general chemistry now. Good luck everyone! ?

Specializes in MSICU.

Hi everyone. I'll be applying in May hopefully. GRE is done. General chemistry is in the works, then I just have to take CCRN and PALS. I also don't get my BSN transcripts until May. USF is the only school I'm applying to at the moment, so I have my fingers crossed ? good luck to everyone!

I applied at the beginning of March, and I have an interview in May. Good luck to everyone!

Congratulations on the interview. What are your stats?

Thank you!

Level 4 NICU - 1 year

Medical/Neuro ICU - 3 years

CCRN

GRE 302

BSN GPA 3.4

Charge nurse; preceptor; UBC chair; several committees; 36 hours of shadowing

Okay this might sound silly, but question about GPA. How are you all calculating it? For nursing GPA, are you putting your AS(if you have it) and BSN together to get an average? And for the overall, are you calculating everything else? Then there's science GPA I guess they look at.. I'm confusedLOL 😂 I haven't spoken withthem yet, just curious if anyone knew

For schools that use NursingCas like USF it should calculate your GPA once you have all your transcripts in. I believe the first thing they look at are the prerequisite courses on the website.

May I ask how you got an interview already. I was under impression invites wouldn't be started until August 15 the earliest?

Not directed towards me but I'll chime in. I had two coworkers accepted into the next cohort starting in May. So they start sending interview invitations but they won't officially accept anyone until mid August. So this person will interview in May, but won't hear anything back until August at the earliest.
