University of South Florida Accelerated BSN

Anyone have any insight on this program? I'm in the process of applying and would love to know about the school!

Did you get your writing sample finished up ok? I just finished mine earlier today and submitted my nursing application. I am so picky about my writing that it takes me forever to feel like it is perfect. I also applied to UCF and FAU's accelerated programs.

CNA Sam - I am just so afraid that I won't get in since the space is so limited. My pre-req GPA is not as high as everyone else that posts on this site. and the more I read, the more discouraged I get :-( . I am just so nervous at this point

Writing sample complete & app submitted. And now the waiting begins...

I submitted my nursing app last week, and today I actually received an email from the nursing dept stating that my prerequisites, GPA, and prior degree have all been verified. My application status has been updated to committee, and I know that does not mean much, but it was still exciting to hear something from them! Good luck!

When will you guys find out if you are accepted?

The email I received today said decisions should be out in late March.

I submitted my application Saturday. Waiting is already killing me

Application has been admitted :-) Now hopefully this wait goes by fast

Since I'll be quitting my job if I get accepted into this program, I'll be losing my health insurance. I am currently researching health insurance providers and realizing how darn expensive it's going to be. Anyone else going to be in this boat as well?

The school will offer you health insurance... Once you get accepted you will have a big packet that should address that.

I did see that but it's only slightly less expensive than COBRA & doesn't include vision or dental. I can get my own policy directly thru their provider with everything I want & get it cheaper than what USF is offering.

Too bad I can't use my loan funds to pay for it. ;)
