University of South Alabama NP Spring 2020 applicants

Updated:   Published

Hey guys!

Just wanting to see how many of you are applying to USA FNP program for next Spring? Any recent graduates or current students who can give insight on how the program is? I see mixed reviews about most schools I look into so just curious on what peoples thoughts about USA are. Does anyone know how many students they accept? Just submitted my supplementary application today so the waiting begins!

Can any of you tell me how long it took once all of your transcripts had been received for your CAS to turn to verified? I am coming in close to the wire, and only waiting on the verified portion before submitting my supplemental application. I’m hoping for WHNP.

My last transcript was received on 6/14 and I got the email that my application was verified on 6/18. So if all your transcripts have been received and confirmed at this point, I think it will be verified well before the 15th.

NursingCAS said it can take weeks. I missed the last application period because mine did not become verified in time. I don’t remember how long it actually took because I missed the deadline and stopped keeping track.

Do you mind telling me what all is involved in the supplemental portion? Do I need additional personal essays etc? I’m crossing my fingers hard my stuff will be verified in time, and didn’t know if there was stuff for the supplemental app that I could get done ahead of time?

Kalynn91,

you won’t need any more paperwork for the supplemental application. Just have to re-enter all the colleges attended. You will also need your NursingCAS number and date your application was verified. The rest is just demographics and $100 fee.

ChesRN when you initially missed the deadline did you have to pay to resubmit the Nursingcas application or just the supplemental?

Well my full application is submitted! Now the waiting game begins! I wonder if it will be the full 8 weeks? That is September 9th, and I hope it’s before then and not longer!!

Happy to know you got it on time kalynn91. Hopefully by end of August and early September we will know.

Yeah, looking at previous years it looked like they sent out acceptance letters before the 8 week deadline so fingers crossed! I haven’t seen many people discussing the WHNP so maybe that’s a plus for me!

No! Thankfully. Just the supplemental this go around. However when you try to apply on NursingCAS for the next semester it won’t let you. I had to call USA to ask them to pull my app over to the next app period if that makes any sense!

ChesRN ok thanks so much for clearing that up I feel like I have to hunt for this info. Mine just moved to complete today I’m hoping and praying it moves to verify so I can do my supplemental before the 15th. I’m applying for the AGPCNP.

Mine took 6 days, but that was also over 4th of July weekend. I finished my supplemental today it was fairly quick, and of course more money but that’s how school goes. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!

How many of you are applying for BSN-DNP vs BSN-MSN
