Hello ladies, obviously there are only a few of us who are planning to attend USA. I am planning to start the Clinical Nurse Specialist program in the summer semester of '19. Finishing up my BSN now. We will likely be in the same classes as looking at the plan of study, the classes are identical for APRN's. The only difference will be in the clinical course followed. Hope to see more people on here in the coming months!
Good luck!! See you next summer!!
Hi ladies,
I just started the Fall semester at USA (dual role ACNP/FNP track). Since all NP students have to take the same core courses before clinicals/didactics, we have many NNP students in our pathophysiology and EBP/Research class right now. I was surprise how many there were in my group! Once you're accepted and they open up your orientation site, you'll start seeing links to private FB groups for NNP students.
So far, I like the program :) Good luck to you all!
Hey! I'm thinking about applying to the BSN to DNP FNP program at USA. I know this thread is old and most of you were applying to NNP program but i would still love to hear your thoughts on USA once you start and if it is worth it. I'm thinking about doing the part time program- 12 semesters long. Do you guys think I would be able to work full time as an RN during this? is that what you guys are doing??

Hello everyone!
I'm new to AllNurses and was hoping to introduce myself and network with other applicants who are applying to USA for Neonatal NP. I've noticed we are few in numbers and was hoping for some mutual support and encouragement as we apply and wait.
I have 2.5 years of Adult Surgical ICU experience and recently transitioned to NICU in August. By the time Spring rolls around I will have a year and 4 months in NICU. My cumulative GPA is 3.5. Fingers crossed I get in!
