Hi! I was wondering if anyone out there applied for this program as well? I got my acceptance email from the “Congradapp” waiting on the official letter. Just wanted to extend a happy hello and possibly meet some of the folks that will be in my class ?

Question ; so had the majority of you made your decision on the curriculum for the program yet? I’m just curious/ contemplating on which route and what others may be thinking.

How many weeks after deadline did you get your decision? Also, for those who were admitted what were your credentials? GPA, years of exp, etc?

Congrats everyone! I’m grateful for this thread and all of your information so far. I have been accepted to the AG-ACNP for the Fall of 2019. Looking forward to learning with all of you!

Congrats everyone! I'm currently a second-semester AGACNP/FNP BSN to DNP program student. Nervous but excited about clinicals in the fall!

Initially, I was supposed to get in for the Fall of 2018, but I missed a deadline and ended up getting in for Spring of 2019. Can't remember how long the acceptance letter took from the time of application. But I do believe I got it mid-Sept. 4.0 GPA, 2 years of staff ER experience right out of nursing school...

I ended up choosing the 12 semester CV subspecialty. But I may do a bit more research on that CV bit based on somethings I learned to see if its as useful to me.

I was accepted for the Fall 2018 semester. Deadline to apply was March 1st, received my acceptance on April 9th, which was earlier than the expected notification date. I am in the Dual ACNP/FNP program. 4 years experience in ICU, undergrad BSN GPA 4.0, cumulative GPA 3.76.

Will be starting clinical in the fall. Excited to start the medical portion of the program!

Have you had any trouble securing any clinical sites? Are you happy with the classes/curriculum/teachers?

Compared to my previous school (Chamberlain), I like USA much better. Plus, the dual program gets over 1,000 clinical hours, instead of 540, so I feel like I'm going to be much more prepared for practice. I asked my preceptors a year in advance so they've been "on hold" until now. The first semester of clinicals, you do 120 hours family practice or urgent care, 60 hours of peds, and 60 hours OB/Gyn. I've got the urgent care and peds set up. However, my original OB/Gyn can't take a student this fall due to a scheduled lengthy vacation, so I'm trying to get another one lined up. I've had a few express interest in taking on a student. Just trying to get a contract signed.

The school will help line up a preceptor if you can't find one on your own, however, they can't guarantee the location will be close to your home.

I'm in my 3rd semester and will have my first campus visit in July. Clinicals start in August. So far, so good. Pharm was challenging, but I learned a lot. I'm excited to start clinicals and get on to the medical portion of the program.
