University of South Alabama DNP Fall 2021

Hello there! I just wanted to start this thread to see if there were any people applying to USA for next fall for their nurse practitioner program? I am applying to the BSN to DNP-Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program. Anyone know how the current pandemic might affect the application process? Thank you all in advanced, looking forward to hearing from you all and starting this journey. Also, I am currently based in FL, anyone else from out of state care to share their experiences with this program being online and all? How was it finding a clinical site and preceptor?

It doesn't even show your application?!?! Red flag ? Mine shows up but then when I click on it, it shows "Awaiting Final Transcript for ___" which it definitely didn't say before.

I guess wait list would be better than a denial but that's such a bummer. I even started lining up my preceptors. I really don't want to do the in-state programs, UW is one of the top in the nation but it doesn't offer what I want. WSU is my BSN school but the local program is small and a lot classes are on site and would be miserable for my night shift work even if I went part-time. I guess all I can do is hope...

Ya it's weird...I have all the confirmations of my application when I applied. But I have never been back on this site so I don't even know what it looked like before....everything on CAS looks normal so IDK.

I know same here. This was my first choice school for sure. I’m still staying hopeful because she said that was a few years back so it could be something thing else. But I’m also letting myself be prepared

I’m hoping we find out something today.  “Early next week” is quickly turning into “midweek.” I turned my stuff in right after the deadline for Summer. So this has just been a very long wait.

The minute I hear anything you guys will be the second to hear it after I cry to my man. (I'm feeling very defeatist this morning) ? I just hope everyone else gets an email with good news

Don't give up yet!  They may be looking for a transcript or something!  Keep good faith!  It is not over until it is over!  I will let everyone know as soon as I hear, good or bad!  ❤️
