University of South Alabama DNP Fall 2021

Hello there! I just wanted to start this thread to see if there were any people applying to USA for next fall for their nurse practitioner program? I am applying to the BSN to DNP-Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program. Anyone know how the current pandemic might affect the application process? Thank you all in advanced, looking forward to hearing from you all and starting this journey. Also, I am currently based in FL, anyone else from out of state care to share their experiences with this program being online and all? How was it finding a clinical site and preceptor?

I got the same call too! ? I was still sleeping so I left a message to speak tomorrow but my gut is in knots! All the sudden now it says it's still waiting on one of my transcripts even though they were all received prior. My gut instincts are screaming at me to prepare myself for disappointment and I haven't ignored that feeling since I started ICU. I guess I'll start researching local programs again to apply next year. Ugh ? I'll update after I speak with Dr. Minchew tomorrow.

I didn't get any call or email and everything still says verified in my CAS...Im not sure how to interpret any of this...

I have the same feeling also ?The only thing giving me a little hope is that last time I applied and was denied I never received any emails like this time or phone call. I didn’t hear anything until exactly 8 weeks after the deadline and it was a letter in the mail.

Same. But now I worry I never got a phone call haha

My nursingCAS still says everything has been verified but on the south Alabama site now says its waiting on one of my transcripts ?

Mine isn't even popping up the application....like it isn't even showing up as if I applied at all on USA site

Did either of y’all apply for MSN? I know some people on here applied for DNP. IDK if that’s making a difference with anything.

I applied to BSN-DNP (AGACNP)

There are a couple for sure. Personally I applied for the BSN to DNP.

I just talked to someone I know that is about to graduate from USA and she said her friend received a call too and it was to tell her she would be on a waiting list? Not really sure what that means but I’m guessing it doesn’t mean your technically accepted
