Has anyone applied to South Alabama's accelerated program to start Spring 2012? If so, have you heard anything or know when we will be notified of our interview and/or acceptance? Will this come via mail, email or telephone?
Considering the only thing they are looking at is basically our GPA I dont think that previous medical experience will be much of an issue, I don't know how they would even know about that unless that's something they ask us about during the interview process. Isn't there about 100 people accepted per semester?
It's good to hear something positive about this program...I've definitely seen and heard overwhelmingly negative information. I'm married with a 3 year old daughter so I'm nervous about balancing school without neglecting my family. I'm excited and anxiously awaiting a response from USA!
I applied for the spring 2012 class. USA Nursing has not contacted me either (phone, mail, e-mail).
I called today...application packets are submitted, but not reviewed at this time. "Congratulations" or "Unfortunately" letters to be sent at the end of this month/first of November. To get the letters out by this time frame, phone interviews will need to start soon.
Hey all,
FYI letters are out, I got my acceptance letter to the ENP program for Spring 2012.
I also called a few weeks ago to make sure they had received my application. They reviewed applications later than they normally do this semester because it was the first time using Nursing CAS for graduate studies and they wanted to give CAS time to process everyone's applications.
Hope you all hear something soon and look forward to meeting some of you!

I was reading similar reports about USA, so I was nervous. BUT I started the Accelerated program in July, and it is absolutely AMAZING. It is a small cohort of students and staff who go above and beyond to make sure we are successful. It is very intense, but I love it. Good luck to ya'll.
