University of San Francisco (USF) Master's Entry MSN Fall 2024

Updated:   Published

Hi! Anyone else apply to USF's ME-MSN, Clinical Nurse Leader program for Fall 2024? I applied for the San Francisco campus. Their FAQ says they take about 10 weeks from the application deadline to send out decisions, so I'm assuming we'll hear back around mid-April. Would love to hear about your guys' experience applying for this program if you applied previously.

Did anyone get an email from the sf campus?

I'm still waiting to hear back about my waitlist status at SF. Hopefully, we'll get some good news soon!

I'm not sure how to reply to specific messages : (. BUT, I am mainly referring to the OC campus one! I received an email yesterday morning saying congrats that I was admitted to OC campus.

It doesn't seem it has updated on the website because it still says the last update was April 26 (original decision that was sent out, when I was waitlisted), but as of yesterday May 22, 2024, I had received an email saying congrats and to log into the admitted student portal.

Last semester I had applied to the SF campus one and was waitlisted and never got off the waitlist. So this semester I decided to apply last minute to the OC one instead because all my life I have grown up in the Bay Area, so I thought it would be good to finally have a reason to move to the OC/LA area.

Upon recently looking more into both campus I see that the SF one does have a more university campus vibe, whereas they say OC is just the same 2-3 classrooms in a small hallway for the 2 years. I kind of wish I had just applied again to the SF campus one again just because it does look nicer and like they have more resources, etc, but like I said I have always been open to moving to the LA area anyway!

I have also been accepted into Purdue University's ABSN program, that is West Lafayette, Indiana, so a whole different state. This program is 1.5 years. and Marquette University MSN program too.

I am deciding between USF and Purdue for sure.

Since Purdue is a public university and a Bachelor's it is like half the cost of what USF ME-MSN program would cost.

I'm conflicted on what decision to make.  I do think there is so many pro's and con's to both.

I tried to join the facebook group link I saw in a previous post for the OC campus one, but it seems it doesn't work : (!

I would love to connect with more students who were admitted to : ) ! I have also even reached out to students who graduated or are currently in the program at USF OC through insta and they gave me a little more insight into the program as well if anyone just wants to keep chatting about it all : )!

Hi all,

So, I was accepted and removed from the waitlist for the OC campus yesterday. I received an email that there was a change in my admission status. When I checked the website, they asked if I intended to commit and to pay the entrance fee of $500. Once I accepted and paid, I received an official acceptance letter through email. Good luck, all! 🙂

Same here, but I have not quite yet accepted! Do you know until when we have to accept? I would love to connect with you more on why you decided on USF!

So am I! I wonder how many people are waitlisted for the sf campus. Hope we hear good news this week as OC started hearing good news last week.

I have just received an email from the SF campus stating that there are no further updates regarding my application at this time. They will notify waitlisted applicants when spaces become available.

Yeah me too I'm so confused how it's taking this long

Does anyone know the shoe requirements for clinicals? I know that most of the time they just require them to be white, but do any current/previous students have the specifics? Thanks

All white. I will say it depends on your clinical instructor as some of them might not really pay attention to shoes but it is supposed to be all white!

Awesome, thank you! Sorry to ask another question, but any material requirements that you have encountered? I've heard of other schools wanting shoes made out of all leather
