University of San Francisco (USF) Master's Entry MSN Fall 2024
Are you at the SF or OC campus? How are you feeling about the program so far? Do you like it and think you made a good decision in going there? How has clinical placements been? How is the material so far. Do you feel the need to use outside resources, or do the professors teach well enough that you don't feel you need extra assistance? Out of 10, what would you rate the program? If you had the opportunity to do Nursing at another school that was a bigger university (D1 school as well) and had a top nursing program but it was a ABSN, would you have chosen that? (this is based on the fact that if this was the scenario, both programs would be free to attend).

Thank you! How was your first semester you would say? During undergrad, I found myself utilizing a lot of my resources such as attending tutoring sessions and office hours. Will this be possible at USF OC? I love and find myself attending these sessions/help weekly so my studying and work is way easier at home as I would have a good foundation after getting that extra help. Yes, haha very true! I am also trying to figure out how to cover tuition and living LOL. Did you take out loans and are paying that way? Thank you!

I'm not sure how to reply to specific messages : (. BUT, I am mainly referring to the OC campus one! I received an email yesterday morning saying congrats that I was admitted to OC campus. It doesn't seem it has updated on the website because it still says the last update was April 26 (original decision that was sent out, when I was waitlisted), but as of yesterday May 22, 2024, I had received an email saying congrats and to log into the admitted student portal. Last semester I had applied to the SF campus one and was waitlisted and never got off the waitlist. So this semester I decided to apply last minute to the OC one instead because all my life I have grown up in the Bay Area, so I thought it would be good to finally have a reason to move to the OC/LA area. Upon recently looking more into both campus I see that the SF one does have a more university campus vibe, whereas they say OC is just the same 2-3 classrooms in a small hallway for the 2 years. I kind of wish I had just applied again to the SF campus one again just because it does look nicer and like they have more resources, etc, but like I said I have always been open to moving to the LA area anyway! I have also been accepted into Purdue University's ABSN program, that is West Lafayette, Indiana, so a whole different state. This program is 1.5 years. and Marquette University MSN program too. I am deciding between USF and Purdue for sure. Since Purdue is a public university and a Bachelor's it is like half the cost of what USF ME-MSN program would cost. I'm conflicted on what decision to make. I do think there is so many pro's and con's to both. I tried to join the facebook group link I saw in a previous post for the OC campus one, but it seems it doesn't work : (! I would love to connect with more students who were admitted to : ) ! I have also even reached out to students who graduated or are currently in the program at USF OC through insta and they gave me a little more insight into the program as well if anyone just wants to keep chatting about it all : )!
