Hey everyone, I don't think that there is a thread up yet for folks who are applying for Spring 2020 entry, so I figured I'd start us off! I think it can be helpful to be in connect with other students applying so we can update each other, discuss, and await our decisions!

Don’t give up all hope just yet. Last sem, I was told to wait until the first day of class. This was on the email they sent me for OC. I got another email the day before class started and unfortunately I didn’t get in. I reapplied, revised my essay a little and got in this time. Definitely keep trying.

I didn’t repeat any classes. Bachelor’s gpa 3.63. Masters gpa 3.8. (Anatomy, Physio, Micro gpa 3.3). My essay is simple, but the second time around, I followed directions and addressed one question I missed. I probably omitted a sentence or two, and then addressed what I missed... didn’t really revise it extensively.

Me too :( are you going to remove yourself from the waitlist and apply for Summer ?
Is anyone going to use different people for their letter of recs? If not, how do you go about asking the same person to write you another letter?

In asking the same person to write your letter, simply explain to them that you will be reapplying again. They'll understand the situation. Plus, it will be easier for the recommender since they already have your letter saved.
Hi everyone!
I am messaging in this thread because I was hoping one of you that got into the program can give me a little insight on what a typical week schedule is like. How many days a week are you in class? I want to apply but the OC location is 66 miles from me so I want to see how many days a week the class is and if it will be doable.
Thank you so much and congratulations on the start of your nursing journey!
Hey cynhart, honestly 66 miles is do-able if you don't mind driving and waking up early to beat traffic - and be in class at 8am. One of our classes currently starts at 8am and that same day stretches out till about 4pm. The curriculum is on the website, so for first semester classes are distributed between two days and then a 3rd day for the clinical rotation. Our class schedule didn't become solid until about 2 weeks prior to the first day, so you will see how things look until then because changes can always happen. Also, I think that if you decide to move closer, you will have at least 1.5 weeks before it goes full speed to make up your mind then. There are plenty of people that do a type of commute, so don't let it stop you. Good luck!! ?
