It's been a few days since the deadline for applications has passed, are there any of us here who have applied at USF for the fall of 2012?

@ Lyricalluna Congrats on getting into Dominican! Not sure how USF is with waiting for clinicals either. Does anyone else?

@OK26 Yes I'm sure! I asked a student who's already in the program, she said she had a similar thing happen to her last year, and that a formal letter will follow soon. I mean the first line says: Congratulations on your admission to the University of San Francisco. That should tell you enough ;) Congrats btw!!

@R3rohrer I live in SF, do you live in SF or somewhere else in the bay area? Don't be nervous! :)

HI GUYS! I'm so glad I found this thread!Applied as a Transfer for the BSN nursing ( second time: last year I got rejected)I've been panicking the whole weekend because I received the same postcard inviting me to the Admitted students visiting program with the 'congrats on your admission to USF'. LOLs I was confused because I thought I'd receive an official packet or email first.I received it yesterday as well and ( I'm from the Bay Area! :)I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with the postcard! Things are looking up! I hope we get into our dream schools!I'll be calling tomorrow to check up on this postcard that's been giving me and my family a headache all weekend haha. We just want to make sure it's the real thing before we go bonkers and celebrate....Congrats on all your admittance! If not, keep trying!! ( my second year applying, last year I got rejected)

Congrats Ileese!! Haha yeah omg i was freaking out when my boyfriend said I received a POSTCARD from USF, i though oh god, they probably send postcards to rejected students. I hope we get a packet or something soon :)

I am so happy to hear that a similar situation happened to your friend last year. I feel like i can actually celebrate and share the good news with everyone. Is USF your first choice? How does your friend like the program?

I feel like i can breathe now!! My Anxiety has been at all time HIGH throughout this whole applying process.

@ok26 Yes definitely go share the good news! :) I've been so nervous ever since the beginning of this month, glad its finally over! My friend loves the program, she says the teachers are great, they genuinely care about all their students and do everything humanly possible to help them succeed. So excited! Hope all the folks outside the bay get good news soon!

Kayla and Ok,Ahhh girls! You guys are making my anxiety level go down more and more! I'm so excited for our packets I guess it's time I stay and become even more positive and just believe that this is it! LOL kayla. I thought it was some spam mail that colleges sometimes send to students LOLs. I didn't take it seriously and of course, I couldn't get syked too much in case it wasnt anything legit and i would just end up all disappointed lol. Congrats on you! Hope to maybe see you guys!! I rsvped for the April 14th 'Admitted students visitor program'. Haha the 9-130pm one!

So I called admissions today to confirm my status and I guess the lady there doesn't have access to information that could tell me a yes or no on my admission. She said nothing has been sent ( packet wise) yet, and she's not sure what the postcard is LOL. So I emailed the Nursing/Transfer counselor, ------ hopefully he'll return my call soon and tell me more about the postcard!!

----- ( transfer/nursing counselor) just emailed me back with GOOD news! He said I've been admitted for Fall 2012 BSN nursing, but clinicals won't start for me til 2013 Spring. I'll be taking any needed nursing pre-reqs and non nursing classes my first semester!You guys can email him too if you want to check! I hope everyone the best!!

Yup I got that email too! One semester is not bad compared to some other schools :) Ileese did you get your USF id nr yet? I can't rsvp online without that.

Oh the username can be found if you go to USFconnect and then go to the tab that says something like..'can't find username' and enter your ID ( check your old emails from USF where they send the ID separate from your pw... Do you remember? It's how we checked our progress for the transcripts and rec letter.

Yeah def! My friend who got accepted to Dominican last yr would have had to wait like 2-3 semesters for clinicals! But at least we can take other classes first d:)) be happy! I'm going to gym to vent out my emotions. This has been my dream school for the longest time! Haha congrats KayA :)
