Hi all!!! I know it is early but I thought I would start this thread. Is anyone else getting their information ready and applying for Fall 2016?

What portal??? all i have is the general nursingCAS portal that says verified...

Don't worry Fatima I too have the verified status from NursingCAS, I'm hoping before the new year we'll have interview decisions and the like.

Fatima, recheck your e-mail and look for the e-mail titled "USD Office of Graduate Admissions", it was sent on November 11th in my inbox. In the e-mail it provides user name and password for the MySanDiego Portal.

Waiting waiting waiting. How is everyone? I am under the impression that we get a letter in the mail with admission decision/interview info.

I checked in with them earlier this week and they informed me they are still compiling everyones info from NursingCAS and reviewing apps

I only received the application timeline email as well as emails from Cathleen Mumper on updating her on my final prerequisite grade.

I never got an email for the portal either. I'm checking through spam or junk or regular inboxes and nothing comes up, just the last one from Mumper about pending documents.

I'm getting a little nervous now... Last year's interview invites went out between the 5th and 10th of January according to the old allnurses forum(s).

Hi everyone!

I realize this is jumping the gun a bit, as I have not heard anything about an interview (and honestly can't say I feel too confident). However, I've been doing a lot of research on the financial aspects of different programs and was wondering if anyone has any idea as to how they are going to pay for the program should they be admitted.

Can any current/ former students speak to how helpful the financial aid people are, what scholarships are offered, etc? The huge price tag of $105,000 without living expenses is terrifying to me! Any advice would be much appreciated.

Last year, USD sent out all interview invites via postal mail on Monday, January 5 2015. That would be equivalent to yesterday January 4th 2015. I haven't called them or seen any status updates in the portal though. I'll try to give them a call soon and see what that status is of their application reviews. In the meantime, I'll definitely be continuing to check my mail every day haha.

I second @jz16's request for current/former students chiming in on their financial experiences with this program. As far as the financial aspect of this EXPENSIVE program, I too am terrified... I should be doing research about scholarships and what not as anything will help. I've been thinking that I'll cross that bridge when it comes lol but I'd also like to hear from current or past students on what they did to afford the program.
